Field Shield Wound Dressing is a spray on hydrogel wound dressing that hydrates, seals and protects dermal injuries to create and maintain a moist wound environment known to be conducive to wound healing. Field Shield is a FIRST of its kind spray on dressing that contains both antimicrobial silver hydrosol and lidocaine for rapid pain relief when applied. This unique combination wound dressing is the first to receive FDA 510k clearance, hitting all the main needs to ensure effective and complete wound healing.

With active lidocaine, the spray on dressing delivers anesthetic lidocaine that can relieve pain within 30 minutes of application to the wound or skin. Field Shield also contains a powerful silver hydrosol that has been shown to kill bacteria and fungi within the dressing. The silver hydrosol may inhibit the growth of microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, antibiotic resistant strains of MRSA and VRE, as well as fungi such as Candida albicans and Candida auris within the dressing.

It is a water-based hydrogel system that donates moisture to the wound and helps maintain a moist wound environment. The dressing then sets into an elastic, semi-occlusive, transparent film barrier over the surface of the wound within 5 minutes of application. The film sets over intact and compromised skin surfaces and is intended for use for up to 30 days, with reapplication recommended every 24 to 72 hours.
